Mood On Honest.

CXVI | January 4, 2019

I’ve burned so much energy having heated arguments with the mirror. I know I’m not the only one who experiences these draining moments.

I’m finding that these moments are simply the result of a misguided understanding of perfection. We see the best moments of other’s lives and compare them to our worsts. All while being completely unaware of the pain that they hide behind their masks of perfection.

Tears in the public bathroom are draining but they cease once we embrace the honesty of our imperfections. We must see ourselves for who are and we are not, understanding that the true definition of perfection is to be the best versions of ourselves.

It’s painful to fight our truth. By embracing it we find that we are perfect in our imperfections.
